The Five Universal Principles of Health
The Five Universal Principles of Health
1. Breathing – Oxygen
Deep breathing rids the body of toxins. The human body is designed to discharge 70% or its toxins through breathing. People who need to lose weight don’t take in enough oxygen. Someone with a weigh problem also has a breathing problem.
2. Hydration
You should drink 1/2 oz. of water per pound of body weight. Preferably filtered water. This is only a minimum, you should drink more if you are toxic. Coffee, soda, fruit juices and other beverages don’t count. If you consume soda pop, you need to increase the amount of water you drink by 2 oz. per every ounce of soda that you drink.
3. Adequate Sleep
Adults should enjoy 6-7 hours of deep REM sleep per night. This time of rest is when the body detoxifies and regenerates.
4. Proper Diet
You should greatly reduce white foods in your diet. Eat as much green as possible. Get energy from monounsaturated Fat, not sugar.
5. Daily Exercise
Keep a daily diary – measure walking speed. Your goal should be one mile in 20 minutes, two miles in 45 minutes, 3 miles in 60 minutes. After 30 days you should be walking 60 minutes, 4 days a week.
